This position is located at our Fort Worth, TX corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.
The Manager HRIS position will be responsible for supporting all areas of HR technology including configuration, implementation, technical support, data integrity, reporting, and access management. This role will be primarily focused on our human capital management system (SuccessFactors) along with its integration to downstream systems, notably SAP On-Premise. The position interfaces with the BNSF Human Resources/Medical team, other internal IT teams, and multiple external vendors. This Manager HR Info Systems position is a non-supervisory, individual contributor role.
Key Responsibilities:
Support technology development efforts for applications and technically complex solutions involving multiple vendors, technologies, and business groups within BNSF. This includes driving for consensus and decision making regarding multiple projects simultaneously along with keeping the ‘big picture’ in mind.
Collaborate with HR, other IT professionals, and external vendors to ensure the most efficient, impactful use of HR technology
Configure and customize HR technology (SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and the broader SuccessFactors’ platform) to meet ongoing business needs
Lead as the module owner for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, keeping up-to-date with the latest SAP SuccessFactors releases, upgrades, and best practices
Provide daily technical support, guidance, and training to end-users (HR Team and employees)
Troubleshoot complex and ambiguous issues through to resolution
Support integrations and file transfer processes, notably from SuccessFactors to SAP
Develop and implement processes to ensure data integrity within and between systems
Complete testing and validation within test environments prior to Production changes
Beta-test and thoroughly review technology products to ensure they are functionally valuable, technically sound, appropriately integrated, and meet highest quality standards.
Lead the role-based permission strategy and day-to-day access management of all SuccessFactors modules and SAP
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and change logs
Facilitate routine access audits for SuccessFactors, SAP On-Premise, and other technologies
Develop multiple-parameter, dynamic reports and dashboards to ensure data integrity, deliver insights, improve business process, and support decision making.
Serve in a project management role for HR technology projects
Support data security management processes and assist in overall risk management strategy
asic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or similar field
A minimum of three years’ experience configuring, implementing, and supporting technology (preferably HR-tech)
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex and ambiguous issues through to resolution
Demonstrated experience in analyzing data, developing meaningful insights from that data, and providing recommended actions from that insight.
Understanding of HR business processes and the ability to effectively partner with HR, IT, and external vendors to design, configure, and deploy solutions to support them
Demonstrated experience being a liaison between business end-users and technical parties (IT, external vendors, etc.)
Experience multi-tasking in a highly matrixed environment with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Experience overseeing data replication between systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills (i.e., pivots, VLOOKUP’s and formulas)
High degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and responsiveness
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working with Success Factors, preferably Employee Central module
Demonstrated experience working with SAP On-Premise
Demonstrated experience with access management for SuccessFactors (Role-Based Permissions) and SAP On-Premise
Demonstrated experience with SuccessFactors and SAP reporting applications
Prior experience facilitating end-user training
